The coalition endorsed Martha Halenwick for the open District 2 county commission seat. Our statement supports her bounded housing partnership and housing-related health investments while requiring an annual rehabilitation target, per-project subsidy cap, and common reporting standard before partnership funds move.

May 14 · Safe Steps waitlist reopens
The repair waitlist reopened with a narrower approved-work list after a winter pause. Participating organizations can again refer limited health-and-safety projects for review. Reopening does not guarantee that every referred project will fit the program or receive a repair date.

April 8 · Referral sheet in member review
Coalition members are checking the next landlord-tenant referral sheet for outdated descriptions and programs with changed capacity. A listing will remain only when a member can identify the organization responsible for maintaining it.

January 13 · Repair intake paused for winter review
Safe Steps stopped adding projects to its repair waitlist while volunteer capacity, incomplete work, and the approved repair scope were reviewed. Already reviewed projects remained with their participating organizations.
