Find housing help

An overview of the housing referrals and coordination offered through Cressvale Housing Coalition member organizations.

Published Updated

The coalition connects member organizations; it is not a housing authority, landlord, emergency responder, or legal office. This page describes the kinds of work coalition members coordinate. It is not an application and does not determine eligibility or placement.

A repair is making the home unsafe

Safe Steps repair weekends handle a limited number of small health-and-safety projects in occupied homes. Typical projects are minor repairs that fit a volunteer workday. Structural emergencies, active utility hazards, and full renovations are outside the program.

Read the Safe Steps program overview.

A renter or landlord needs reliable information

Coalition members maintain a landlord-tenant referral sheet listing the kinds of local and outside assistance each participating organization provides. The sheet is informational; coalition volunteers do not give legal advice or decide a dispute.

Because programs and availability change, member organizations review the sheet before each printed edition rather than treating an old listing as a promise of current service.

A household is at risk of losing housing

Housing-stability referrals can involve more than one organization. Coalition volunteers help member groups identify the appropriate referral path for homelessness prevention, housing rehabilitation, or related service coordination. The coalition cannot guarantee funding, a unit, or a particular outcome.

Winter shelter coordination

During severe winter weather, participating providers share bed-availability updates so that separate organizations are not relying on conflicting lists. This coordination does not operate as an emergency dispatch service and does not replace the procedures used by each provider.

What the coalition records

The coalition tracks referral categories and unresolved gaps without publishing household details. Aggregate notes help members see recurring problems: a repair category no program covers, a referral that repeatedly reaches a closed list, or a winter period when available beds fall short.

The purpose is coordination, not a public case file. This website contains no intake form and collects no personal information.
